Enhance dashboard functionality

Description

We would like to use your dashboard gadgets 'Component Versions' and 'Bundles' in a more detailed or enhanced way.

Can we have a possibility to adapt the columns and choose what we want to display? Or to be able to arrange the columns as we would like?

Is it possible to export the dashboard gadgets with a csv?

In theory we would need something like that:

Component

Version

Document Name

Document Number

Link

released extern

released intern

Component name

Version name

other naming

doc number

link to repository, etc.

released external

released intern

This above table shows the headings and the first row, tries to describe the headings in more detail.

This could map to your AddOn like this:
If it would be able to adapt the component version gadget, so that one can set the columns as he/she would like. The gadget could then show:

Component Version

Description

Released

We could then put the following information as a table in the description:

  • Document Name

  • Document Number

  • Link

A csv export of that table would be important.

Is this feasible? Let me know if you have any further questions!

Any progress on that?

I have just started to work on it, sorry for that. I’m considering to add a table for custom key value pairs to button of “New Component Versions” dialog. Because information in your comment (link, released extern etc.) are highly company specifics. I want it to be useable for others too. This is why I’m adding a generic key value pair there. It will look like below.

I have two questions here

  • Usually the fields "Media type", "Artefact number", "Document name", "Link",... between different releases don't change. Usually only the version number change. If I understood it correctly it would be necessary to fill out these fields on each new release (new component version)? This would be a lot of unnecessary work. Is this correct? Would it be possible to copy components or specific information of a component?

  • Would it possible to add the fields to the components version section and in the dashboard gadgets itself?

Dashboard gadget will be readonly. These informations may not change for you but I have to think a more general solution. Something like media type may also change, documentation URL may change. For example you may decide to switch from word document on a server to confluence or vice versa. May be we can autofill these from last component version and user only changes the ones he/she wants.
