Reminders sent in 5 minute intervals for Period None and Weekly
Description
When a reminder Period is set to Weekly or None, the reminders are sent at 5 minute intervals. Two different users reported this problem; they have both been using reminders for a while so it seems to be new, unexpected behavior.
I was able to replicate the behavior. Noting the 5 minute limitation, I set a Weekly reminder to start today at 10 AM PDT, set at 9:50 AM PDT. The first was received 10:04 AM PDT, and I have received consistent reminders every 5 minutes after that.
The documentation does not provide what the expected behavior is when Period is set to None, so I'm not sure whether that is the actual expected behavior.

Hi Karen,
If you upgrade to 1.13.13 version your issue will be solved. From the logs, I can say that this is caused by the same bug which caused https://denizoguz.atlassian.net/browse/REM-181. Thanks for taking your time and sending the log file.
Hi Deniz, I’ve sent you an email with the logs attached.
Hi Karen,
Please enable debug logs for the app as explained here.
Wait until reminder app executes and sends reminders
Check jira logs as explained here. Search for com.deniz.jira.reminders starting from bottom of the atlassian-jira.log file. Check for stack traces and errors. Check messages between "Acquiring cluster lock for sending reminders" and "Time to send reminders:" lines. If you want clear any private information and send it to my email (admin@thestarware.com), so that I can check what is happening.
Hello, we are still having this problem. I’ve tried disabling and re-enabling the Reminders add-on but it didn’t make a difference.
It looks like the template was just edited by someone who accidentally typed in the wrong reference to the key.
Hi ,
I have retested this and I could not reproduce the problem. Do you have any new information? Did you able to check template and why it displays $issue.key instead of real issue key?
