Error org.ofbiz.core.entity.GenericTransactionException when trying to reopen any issue

Description

Hi,

We have a Jira Software Server instance version 8.5.1. We are currently using a handful of 3rd party plugins including "Issue Reminders for Jira". Our SEN number is: SEN-10931386

Today I had a ticket about an error. The error was "org.ofbiz.core.entity.GenericTransactionException Commit failed, rollback previously requested by nested transaction". When I looked to the community I found a similar ticket. Generally root cause of this issue is this; a parent issue blocks the transition of a child issue because of the misconfigurated/miscoded post-function. However, In this ticket one person explains the situation and one of the community leaders suggests something. That is;

  • When the transition includes any postfunktion of the type "start new event....,which can be edited by listeners" other than the one mentioned before it works and shows no error.

  • My guess is that you have an event listener for the event that makes the transition fail. Check your event listeners (ScriptRunner for example)

After this owner of the ticket found out, when issue reminders plugin disabled problem was solving. I used the same solution and it worked.

I would like to both imform you about the situation and to know how could we solve this bug. I used the same summary of a similar issue opened before. I saw it was solved but could not see how. Could you explain the solution? Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Batuhan
