Ability for Project Administrator to stop other timers

Description

With the latest version all users can see the active timers using the Dashboard widget.

Sometimes the users forget to stop timer before logout from the system. What I'm asking is the ability to stop the timers for the project administrator directly from the dashboard.

Is it possible to add it?

Hi,

They can view the timer if they can view the issue itself. It is certainly possible and pausing the timer should be easy. Stopping the timer means logging the corresponding work, so it is a lot more complicated (project administrator even may not have permission to log work, or he may not now actual amount, worklog attributes or even description of work). But I can't make a promise on when this will be available. There are higher priority requests, like timesheet approval and accounting.

Deniz, we have just updated the plugin to 2.30.0 but I am still unable to stop the timer of another user. I was wondering if this only worked on a certain screen or if there were certain steps to be followed.

Scenario: I am using the Worklog Pro Gadget to view all timers,

  1. I see the user and their timer,

  2. I click the Stop button beside the time.

  3. The screen pops up where I have to enter their name, adjust the time and a comment, everything appears to go fine no error messages

  4. Refresh the browser the timer is still showing on the gadget.

The time that I entered on the screen does get logged on the issue as well.

Is there a different screen I should be stopping a timer from for this to work?

Sorry for not being able to fix in the first release. It should work as expected in 2.31.0 release.
