Starting from 1.6.0 version, Issue Reminders Plugin has separate builds for JIRA 6 and JIRA 7. Compatibility information on the marketplace page shows latest version as compatible only with JIRA 7, please click on the more versions link which will take you to versions list of the plugin. You will see JIRA 6 specific version in this list with -jira6 suffix.
